So what allows us buy a horse for less than cost? Market reality is the keyword here, and there are a number of things that have drawn down prices on horses.
No or very little killer market, laws forbidding slaughter of horses in the US
Pending laws forbidding export of horses for slaughter to US or Mexico
Higher hay and grain cost due to US subsidizing grain for ethanol production
farmers producing less hay and more grain for ethanol market less grain for animal feed.

I usually get a truckload of a time, and they just brought me a truckload of hay today. I got third cutting alfalfa from last yea, the trucker said he has not hauled any new hay yet from Eastern Washington, because it’s been raining over there, and they haven’t got the first cutting off the fields yet. This hay should last me until July, by then second cutting should be available. The price may be going up due to poor first cutting. We will see…
I wrote this booklet to share some of my experience and knowledge, so that both you and your horse will have a better life together. Learn the sequence of lessons – Its not just what you expose your horse to, it when you do it and in what order.
Learn to read your horse – You will learn the signs that show exactly where the horse is at emotionally and mentally
What parts of the horse you work on first – Start working the right parts first and it is a lot easier for the horse and you.
Hidden advantage – You might be able to train the people around you.
Taking the time to teach the horse to be confident and respectful at the same time is possible and easy if you just follow the steps in the book. What tools to use and in what order to use them is very powerful.
